Kyle and Kalisha Fleishmann and I have attend the same church for over 5 years. They have been a part of it since the beginning and we came a little later. There have been many a Sunday mornings we have passed in the hall, smiled and said hello. Then there were the days we spent time talking about something with church or a little something about life, but nothing more than that. When Kalisha, who is an avid photographer herself, asked me if I could do photos for their Easter card I was very honored. I have come to realize over the past five years that Kyle and Kalisha might come off as very reserved but underneath the very stoic exterior there are two amazing individuals. They are funny, smart, caring and so very loving. The love they share with each other, God and their son Kadyn is undeniable. So needless to say, this was an amazing day, not only because we got great pictures but also because we became that much closer.
We met on a wonderful afternoon in Downtown Bend. From there we followed the sun and the Urban setting they were looking for…and we came up with some really fabulous images of their family. It was a lot of fun for me to see the interaction and the playfulness that they all have together. it was also fun because they were very open to trying some different looks and different places. It really helped to have Kalisha’s background because she was spot on when posing her body and with her expressions, it made for priceless images. I feel very blessed that I was, by chance, able to be a part of the Fleischmann Family photos this year. it not only made for great images but it made for a deeper connection from acquaintance to a friendship.
