Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a preschool teacher? Brittany Smolich does…and that is the place where I first met Brittany. We were both teachers at Eastmont Community School. Now, a few years later, we have both moved on to different careers in life but still have the preschool mentality with little ones at home. So it is easy to say our friendship has gone past “working together” and into life as friends.
When we were talking about family pictures Britt said she wanted to do something fun, edgy and different. So, I said let’s give it a try…Family pictures with the Smolich family was a blast, they were so spunky and fun to be around. Parker and Presley were so incredibly easy to photograph, they were just having a good time which is what makes photographing children so enjoyable. They kept the smiles coming and the lollipops were in action throughout the shoot. It is rare to be a with a family who is so easy going and just goes with the flow. It makes for a shoot that is fun, fabulous and most importantly stress free.
We headed to downtown Bend in Gasoline Alley where the sun was shining and the brick walls gave us the funky vibe Brittany was hoping for. The kids had their bright colored lollipops and Britt and Andrew brought their incredible attitudes, ready for anything. We had such a great time trying new things and different locations hoping to get that “perfect” shot. I think we ended up with more than a perfect shot, we came out having a perfect shoot. It is always such a joy as a photographer to be able to spend time with friends watching the fun and fabulousness of a family come through the lens and be able to put it out there for the world to not only see but feel. I think you will agree, Andrew, Brittany, Parker and Presley are a pretty fabulous family!
