It was a beautiful Spring Day with a slight chill in the air and I was able to spend it with three lovely ladies. My friend Millie said if I ever wanted practice she would be happy to be a model for me. I know that Millie had just gone through a hard few months of just losing her father so what better way to lift spirits than to take some photos. I met Millie, her mother and her sister at Riverbend Park one sunny afternoon. They were all in matching scarves and ready to have pictures taken. They were a hoot and so much fun to spend the afternoon with. While taking the pictures you could see and feel the love between these ladies and it was so incredibly special. During the shoot, I had them head onto the bridge so I could take some pictures form far away. While I was taking the pictures they started throwing flowers int o the river and were hugging, it was very touching. When I got to the bridge I was talking with them and I found out the flowers were for her father, whose birthday it was that day! God works in mysterious ways…I was able to give them memories of a lifetime and help give closure to a very difficult time in thier lives. But through the images, they will be able to remember the love and the joy they felt that day remember such an important and loved man. I just felt very lucky to be a part of that moment.
